Rajasthan Public Service Commission cancels SI Exam 2021; Know The New Date

Jaipur: Following the state government's recommendation, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission has cancelled the 2021 Sub-Inspector/Platoon Commander Recruitment Examination. The recruitment examination will be held again, and the schedule for the same has been finalised.

What did the official say?

According to RPSC Chairman Utkal Ranjan Sahu, only the 383,097 candidates who took both papers of the previously conducted written examination will be eligible to appear. Starting May 16, candidates will be given the opportunity to make corrections to their forms. During this period, they will be able to make necessary corrections and updates to their information. The correction process will continue until May 30, 2026, during which changes to mobile numbers, email addresses, and address will be possible.

What is the update?

It will be mandatory to complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) KYC process before applying for exam OTR and eligibility correction. Candidates who change their SSO ID will be able to transfer their old data to the new profile using the Fetch Application Form option.

Is there change in form?

The Commission has clarified that age, reservation, and educational qualifications will be determined based on the status at the time of application in 2021. Even if a candidate does not wish to make any changes to their application during the examination process, they will still need to go into edit mode and provide a declaration stating "no modifications required" and consent to biometric access. The application will then be submitted through OTP verification. Failure to follow the prescribed procedure will result in the application being rejected. 

When will the exam happen?

The notification for the SI Recruitment 2021 exam was released on February 3, 2021. The recruitment exam for 859 posts was held from September 13 to 15, 2021. After the written exam, 380,000 candidates qualified for the exam, and 20,359 candidates qualified for the physical test. 3,291 candidates were selected for the interview. The final result was released on June 1, 2023. Following widespread rigging in the exam, the matter reached the court. Recently, on May 4, the Supreme Court upheld the decision to cancel the SI Recruitment 2021 exam. The recruitment exam is expected to be held in September 2026.
