Delhi-NCR Weather: Know When Will It Rain In UP? IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert For 16 States

New Delhi: The Monsoon is active again in many states of the country. The effect of the system formed in the Bay of Bengal is visible in many areas including Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in these states during the next few days. In some places, warnings have also been issued regarding strong wind, storms and lightning.

Will there be heavy rain in Delhi-NCR today?
There is less possibility of heavy rain in Delhi-NCR today i.e. on 19th August. However, the weather will not be completely clear and light rain may occur at some places. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain for Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh on August 19 and 22.
Western Uttar Pradesh including Noida and Ghaziabad may also receive rain on August 19 and 22. At the same time, there is a possibility of intensification of rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh between 21st and 24th August.

Will there be heavy rain in Bihar and Jharkhand today?
Heavy rain is expected in Bihar on 19th and 20th August. There may be heavy rain at many places in Jharkhand between 20th and 22nd August. There is a possibility of bad weather in the Ganga plains also.
According to the Meteorological Department, the depression formed over Jharkhand currently remains at almost one place. Due to its effect, rainfall activities may increase in the surrounding states.
Will it rain in Uttarakhand the whole week?
There are little chances of getting relief from rain in Uttarakhand for the next several days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain in different parts of the state till August 24.
It may rain in many districts including Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Champawat and Dehradun. There is also a possibility of storm and lightning in some areas.
Will rain continue in Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal also?
The rainy season is expected to continue in Jammu and Kashmir till August 23. In Himachal Pradesh too, there may be rain in Shimla, Manali and higher altitude areas till August 22.
In view of continuous rain in the hilly areas, people have been advised to keep an eye on the weather conditions.
Will it rain in Madhya Pradesh also in the next few days?
Many parts of Madhya Pradesh may see a spell of rain this week. There are chances of rain in Western Madhya Pradesh on 23rd and 24th August.
There may also be rain in Indore, Ujjain, Malwa and Khandwa regions. Good rain is expected in many areas including Bhopal, Gwalior, Rewa and Satna.
Is there a danger of storms and lightning in MP and Chhattisgarh?
There is a possibility of storms, strong wind and lightning in some areas in Madhya Pradesh till August 22. There may be rain in Chhattisgarh on 21st and 22nd August.
People are advised to avoid open spaces and standing under trees during inclement weather.
Will the weather worsen in Bengal and Odisha also?
Along with Bihar and Jharkhand, the weather may remain bad in many areas of West Bengal between 19 to 24 August. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of about 50 kilometers per hour at some places.
There is a possibility of thunderstorm, lightning and rain in Odisha till August 22.
Will the rainy season continue in the northeastern states also?
The weather may remain changed in Northeast India also for the next few days. There is a possibility of rain in many states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura till August 24.
Overall, monsoon is going to be active in eastern and central India for the next few days. Light rain or drizzle may be seen in Delhi-NCR today.
