"Nine people were trapped inside. Seven bodies have been taken out so far," she said, adding that efforts were underway to rescue the remaining two.

Smoke was spotted rising from inside the factory around 10:00 am on Monday morning by the police patrol vehicle.

According to eyewitnesses, three to four loud explosions were heard during the blaze, which quickly intensified due to a large stock of gunpowder and cardboard stored inside the factory.
