There has been a big change in the schedule of the Women's World Cup, now matches will be played here instead of Bengaluru
The ICC has amended the schedule of the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 and made Navi Mumbai the host instead of Bengaluru. The DY Patil Stadium will now host the main matches, including semi-finals and finals. The tournament will run from September 30 to November 2. Jai Shah called this decision a milestone in the development of women's cricket.

Sports News: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revised the schedule of the Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 and released a new schedule. This time Bengaluru has been dropped and in its place Navi Mumbai has been included in the major venues of the tournament. This prestigious tournament will be held from 30 September to 2 November 2025. The final match will be played in Navi Mumbai or Colombo.
Why was Navi Mumbai given priority over Bengaluru?
Due to the unavailability of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the ICC has decided to include DY Patil Stadium Navi Mumbai. According to the revised schedule, a maximum of five matches will be held at this ground. These include three league matches, one semi-final, and a possible final. However, there has been no change in the dates of the tournament.
Other Venues Remain Unchanged
Despite Navi Mumbai’s inclusion, all other designated venues stay the same. These include ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, and R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Alongside league matches, these iconic grounds will also host the crucial semi-finals and the grand final, ensuring fans experience thrilling action across both nations.
Jai Shah praised Navi Mumbai
In an official statement, ICC Chairman Jay Shah expressed happiness over Navi Mumbai being selected for this event. He said that Navi Mumbai has emerged as a strong center for women's cricket in recent years. There has been tremendous support from the audience here during international matches and the Women's Premier League. We are confident that the same energy will remain during this World Cup as well. Jay Shah also said that this World Cup will prove to be a milestone in the development of women's cricket, which will inspire future generations.
Schedule of semi-finals and finals
The schedule of the semi-finals and final has been announced, marking a unique example of joint hosting between India and Sri Lanka. The first semi-final will take place on October 29 in either Guwahati or Colombo, while the second semi-final is set for October 30 in Navi Mumbai. The grand final match will be held on November 2, with the venue being either Colombo or Navi Mumbai. This arrangement not only highlights the spirit of collaboration between the two nations but also adds excitement for fans across both countries.
