This 22-year-old player not only won the hearts of the fans with his explosive batting but also broke a big record of Indian star Virat Kohli. In the third T20 match played in Cairns, Brevis smashed Kohli's record of hitting the most sixes in Australia by scoring a half-century in just 22 balls. Brevis had batted brilliantly in the second match before this match and scored a century. In such a situation, he continued his same form in the third match as well.

Dewald Brevis broke Virat Kohli's record

Dewald Brevis played a blistering innings of 53 runs in 26 balls in the third T20, in which he hit 1 four and 6 towering sixes. During this innings, he made the record of hitting the most sixes in T20 on Australian soil. Virat Kohli had hit 12 sixes in 10 innings against Australia but Brevis made this record in his name by hitting 14 sixes in just 3 innings. 

There was a blast in the second T20

Brevis did an even bigger feat in the second T20 of the series. He played an unbeaten innings of 125 runs in 56 balls, which included 12 fours and 8 sixes. Thanks to his innings, South Africa scored a huge score of 218 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. This is the highest score by any batsman from South Africa in T20. Brevis surpassed Faf du Plessis' record of 119 runs. 

The series was a hit

However, in the third T20, Australia achieved the target of 172 runs before the last ball and won the series 2-1. But Brevis' performance was the center of discussion. From Australia's side, Glenn Maxwell scored an unbeaten 62 off 36 balls and captain Mitchell Marsh scored 54 runs off 37 balls to lead the team to victory.
