Ram Temple Donation Scam Probe Widens: Police Raid Homes Of 8 Accused, Including Tinnu Yadav

According to reports, police raided the homes of the accused around 7 am on Sunday. Six police teams conducted the raid simultaneously and questioned the accused's family members.

Ayodhya: The issue of theft of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is currently escalating. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Police's action has intensified. Police are conducting raids on Sunday at the homes of eight accused, including Rama Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu. All eight accused are currently in jail for the theft of offerings. 

Where did the police raid?

As per reports, several police teams are conducting searches at the homes of all the accused. According to reports, police raided the homes of the accused around 7 am on Sunday. Six police teams conducted the raid simultaneously and questioned the accused's family members. They also examined the properties and documents found in the house. They also spoke with neighbors and gathered information.

 


Did the police question family members?

According to reports, the police reached the homes of Anukalp Mishra, Lav Kush Mishra, the main accused Rama Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, and Ram Shankar Mishra. 

However, during the raid, Tinnu's house was found locked. Police searched the accused's homes and recorded statements from family members. During the operation, police remained stationed at the entrances to the accused's homes to prevent any disruption to the investigation and to prevent unauthorized entry. The police believe that a portion of the stolen offerings may be recovered from the accused's homes.

 

When did the police arrest the accused?

Following the first FIR filed on June 25 based on a complaint by temple trust member Krishna Mohan, eight accused, including Tinnu Yadav, were arrested. On June 26, the CJM court sent the accused to jail for three days.

Who has resigned?

On Saturday, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra confirmed the resignations of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra. Trust treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri stated that the resignations have been received. 

"We will consider them at our meeting on July 11. We assure the devotees who have offered silver bricks and gold and silver jewelry in the service of Lord Shri Ram that all items are safe," he said. 

The alleged theft at the temple came to light on June 7. The UP government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter. The SIT submitted its preliminary report to Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad on June 23. Subsequently, on June 25, the first FIR was registered based on a complaint by trust member Krishna Mohan. Eight people, including Rama Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu, were named in the FIR.
