Delhi Traffic Advisory Issued For Kisan Panchayat at Ramlila Maidan
The Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday issued an advisory for the commuters due to arrangements for a 'Kisan Panchayat' at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on Thursday.
New Delhi: Amid 'special arrangements' across Delhi for a 'Kisan Panchayat' at Ramlila Maidan, the Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory on Wednesday regarding multiple diversions implemented and vehicular movement.
What is the need of diversion?
Ahead of the 'Kisan Panchayat' the Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday issued an advisory for the commuters in Delhi
In the advisory, the Delhi Traffic Police said that commuters are likely to face congestion and delays on Thursday due to arrangements for a 'Kisan Panchayat' at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.
What did the Delhi Traffic Police say?
The event, 'Kisan Panchayat', which is organized by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, is expected to draw a large number of gathering, due to which multiple diversions have been implemented in Delhi from 6 am till 4 pm.
The police has said traffic curbs will be enforced on a need basis in areas surrounding Ramlila Maidan.
What does the advisory say?
According to the Traffic advisory, vehicular movement from Ajmeri Gate towards Ramlila Maidan via Asaf Ali Road will not be permitted. Commuters have been advised to take JLN Marg as an alternate route for their onward journey.
As per the advisory, traffic congestion is likely on several key stretches, including JLN Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Chaman Lal Marg, Ajmeri Gate, Minto Road, Delhi Gate and the Kamla Market roundabout, especially during the arrival and dispersal of participants.
In a post on X, Traffic Police said that, "Avoid affected stretches, plan your journey in advance and use public transport wherever possible. Stay updated through Delhi Police Traffic channels."

What did the advisory say about parking?
Regarding arrangements for parking, the advisory suggest that visitors attending the event can park their vehicles at Mata Sundari College parking.
As per the advisory, buses will have a designated alighting point at Delhi Gate and will be parked at Rajghat or Power House parking areas. No buses will be allowed to proceed on JLN Marg beyond Delhi Gate.
