PAK vs SA: After their recent defeat in India vs Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025, a new Pakistan team has been announced for Test series against Africa. Reportedly, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are making a comeback in the squad.
Pakistan cricket authority have revealed the 18-player squad for their upcoming Test series at home against South Africa. Notably, Shan Masood will once again be leading in the ICC World Test Championship campaign.
Notably, some of the players who will make their debut are Asif Afridi, Faisal Akram and Rohail Nazir.

Players to make a comeback
Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was removed from the last series against the West Indies, has now returned to the Test team. Naseem Shah has yet to make his test comeback. Shan Masood will remain the captain of the team. Pakistan's team will now be more dependent on spinners, which is why the trio of Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, and Abrar Ahmed will be in lead. Meanwhile, Rohail Nazir, Asif Afridi, and Faisal Akram have received their first for the Test. After the Test series, Pakistan's squads for the ODI and T20 series are also yet to be announced.
