Bumrah’s “Wicket Down” Gesture-A Reply to Haris Rauf?

IND vs PAK: Indian cricket team has once again shown brilliant performance in the ongoing India vs Pakistan match in Asia Cup 2025 final. Indian spinners made outstanding comeback as Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy made the Pakistan team struggle.

Pakistan team tumbled to 146 all out. Along with the brilliant performances of Indian cricket team, one other topic of discussion in today's match was fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah's 'wicket down' gesture. In today's match, Bumrah bowled Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf and sent him to pavilion. And later Bumrah was seen in a celebration mode. After this wicket, Bumrah's ''wicket down gesture became the talk of the down. It is said that Bumrah's wicket down gesture was a befitting reply to Haris Rauf. Meanwhile, Bumrah's unique style gained a lot praise from fans all around. 

Haris Rauf initiated first

Actually, Haris Rauf initiated it first. during the India-Pakistan Super Four match. Actually, during India's innings, when Rauf was present at the boundary for fielding, a fan tried to tease him by calling him Virat Kohli. To which Haris Rauf responded by the crash of fighter jets gesture in front of the cricket fans. However, the ICC later fined Haris Rauf 30 percent of his match fee for this indecency.

It is to be noted that Dubai Events Security Committee (ESC) today implemented strict measures in Dubai ahead of the match. The authorities had announced strict enforcement of security protocols at the stadium. Strict guidelines were issued for reaching the stadium. An advisory to arrive at the stadium at least three hours before match was issued today by Dubai authorities.
