Petrol Bombs, Pistols Seized as 9 Arrested in Alleged Plot to Target Jantar Mantar
Police busted two terrorist gangs operating at the behest of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI and arrested nine people, including four minors, from Amritsar.
New Delhi: Punjab Police claimed that it has succeeded in busting two terror gangs responsible for conducting terrorist activities as per the directions of Pakistan's ISI. As per Amritsar Police, nine individuals, including four minors belonging to two different gangs, have been arrested in connection with this case. Investigations have also revealed connections of this network with Delhi's Jantar Mantar.

Punjab Police have busted two ISI-backed terror modules and arrested nine people, including four minors. One of the accused from this gang has stated that he along with his eight companions went to Delhi to conduct a terrorist attack in CJP rally held at Jantar Mantar.

Who have been arrested?
According to Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, four people, including three minors, have been arrested in one gang and five people, including one minor, have been arrested in another gang.
Based on information, Sukhman Singh, a resident of Rajasansi, and his three minor accomplices were arrested. Four bottle bombs, two pistols, a lighter, and nine cartridges were recovered from them. Sukhman admitted that he was in contact with an ISI handler based in Pakistan and had received the task of carrying out the attack at Jantar Mantar.
He went there with eight accomplices, but failed to succeed in his conspiracy. The accused in another gang installed CCTV cameras on railway tracks and passed the footage to the ISI.
The accused were identified as Vansh Kumar, a resident of Mohkampura in Amritsar, Harman Singh and Sukhdev Singh, residents of Jhanjoti village in Rajasansi, Sukhman, a resident of Joth village and a minor.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that arrested accused were acting at the behest of foreign-based ISI handlers.
