Patna: Senior Bihar leader Tej Pratap Yadav has filed a complaint of major theft from his official residence. Tej Pratap has accused his personal assistant Motilal Rai of theft. The complaint also mentions two eyewitnesses who saw the PA leaving with the bag on the night of the incident. Police have registered FIR and started investigation. The allegations have not been officially confirmed yet.
What items went missing from the cupboard?
According to the complaint, apart from Rs 20 lakh in cash, two-tola gold chain and a gold ring were missing from the cupboard. Also, 4 drones, 2 hard discs, an iPad, a MacBook, a Lenovo laptop and 4 iPhone 17 Pro Max phones were also not found. Tej Pratap says that the cash belonged to the party fund. Police are now examining the purchase bills and serial numbers of the goods to help in recovery.
What is the reason for the allegations against PA Motilal Rai?
Tej Pratap has directly made his personal assistant Motilal Rai an accused. It is written in the complaint that at around 11:30 pm on the night of the incident, two witnesses had seen Motilal Rai crossing the boundary of the housing complex and going out with the bag. Both of them have been made witnesses. Police are recording the statements of witnesses and will also check the call details and location of the PA.
