Leopard Sparks Chaos Inside Rajasthan Liquor Shop; 3 Injured
Panic gripped in Rajasthan's Tonk district when a leopard entered a liquor shop, attacked three people and remained trapped inside for nearly five hours before being rescued by the forest department.
Tonk: In Todaraisingh town of Rajasthan's Tonk district, a leopard entered a wine shop and attacked three people before forest officials tranquilised and rescued the animal, according to reports.
Where did the incident happen?
Panic gripped in Rajasthan's Tonk district when a leopard entered a liquor shop, attacked three people and remained trapped inside for nearly five hours before being rescued by the forest department.
This incident happened in Todaraisingh town on Monday morning at around 8:45 am. After that, a team was called from Jaipur to tranquilize the leopard and after about five hours, the team rescued the leopard and brought it to the Tonk division office.

What did the official say?
Senior Veterinary Officer Ashok Tanwar, who rescued the leopard, said that it is a male leopard and I have done 63 rescues so far, but this is the first time that a leopard has been rescued from a liquor shop.
What about the injured people?
According to reports, at a liquor shop located on Bisalpur Road in the main market of Todaraisingh town, the salesman was working after opening the shop when a leopard, which had strayed from the forest and reached the town, entered the liquor shop.
The leopard first attacked Fateh Lal Koli (40), who was sitting outside the liquor store, before rushing inside. It then attacked 25-year-old salesman Sanjay Gurjar, who managed to escape by running out of the shop despite suffering injuries to his nose, back and other parts of his body.
Before entering in the shop, the leopard attacked the Forest volunteer Rakesh Mali, who went to inspect the area after being alerted by local residents.
What was the challenge in the rescue?
After nearly five hours, the leopard was safely sedated and rescued before being taken to the Tonk forest division office for a medical examination.
