Mann Government: Punjab, a state always known for its commitment to farmers and livestock, is currently facing a difficult time due to major floods and the 'Gal-Ghotu' (Hemorrhagic Septicemia) disease. However, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has not only provided aid to flood-affected people but has also taken immediate and significant action to protect animals, ensuring the survival of the agricultural economy.

During the floods, the government also focused on saving animals. Using drones and boats, animals stranded on rooftops and in fields were located and moved to safer places. In Fazilka and other affected districts, over 5 lakh animals were rescued, and arrangements were made for their food, water, and other essential needs.

The biggest challenge

After the floods, the biggest challenge was to prevent the spread of the 'Gal-Ghotu' disease. Animal Husbandry Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian stated that the government took immediate action. In just one week, over *1.75 lakh animals* in 713 villages were successfully vaccinated. This effort not only saved the health of the animals but also secured the future and livelihood of thousands of farming families. Minister Khuddian mentioned that this vaccination drive, which started on September 14, is a crucial part of the state's post-flood recovery plan. Its aim is to protect the livelihood of farmers by saving the livestock that serves as the backbone of Punjab's agriculture.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Statement

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, "Punjab's animals are a vital part of the farmers' income. Their safety is the key to the future of Punjab's agriculture. Our government works not just for people but for every living being."

Punjab Govt's campaign

The health and safety of animals are being ensured through mobile veterinary units, free medicines, and awareness programs. This campaign is progressing rapidly in affected districts like Amritsar, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Moga, Pathankot, Rupnagar, and Tarn Taran. The Punjab government's goal is not just to rescue during a crisis but to create a system that can minimize the impact of any natural disaster or disease in the future. This campaign shows that the Aam Aadmi Party government is a true "servant government" that considers the protection of every living being, whether human or animal, its foremost responsibility.
