Punjab Govt's Financial Assistance 

Dr. Baljit Kaur, Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development, informed that by August 2025 alone, Rs 593.14 crore has been directly transferred to the accounts of beneficiaries, benefiting 6.66 lakh women. This is not just financial relief, but represents new confidence for women who are struggling with life’s challenges.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Mann Government’s intention is not merely to provide financial assistance, but to make women empowered and self-reliant. With this support, women are becoming pillars of support for their families and securing their children’s future.

Direct transfer to bank accounts

The biggest feature of this scheme is its transparency. Direct transfer to bank accounts has eliminated the role of middlemen and strengthened public trust in the government.
