New Delhi: An exciting Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday. It will start from 7 pm till around 10:30 pm. According to the traffic police, a large crowd is expected to gather around the stadium due to the match. Traffic on several routes may be affected.

Special traffic arrangements will be in place in connection with the Tata IPL 2026 match between Delhi Capitals VS Kolkata Knight Riders at Arun Jaitley Stadium on 08.05.2026 from 07:00 PM onwards.

According to the Delhi Traffic Police, a large crowd is expected to gather around the stadium before the match begins at 7 pm, so if you pass through this area, it's best to choose another route. Due to the match, the Delhi Traffic Police have implemented special traffic arrangements from 5 pm to 12 midnight.
Which routes to avoid?
- JLN Marg (Rajghat to Kamala Market, both ways)
- Asaf Ali Road (from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate)
- Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (Delhi Gate to ITO)
- Ring Road (Rajghat to IP Flyover)
According to the traffic advisory, vehicular movement will be restricted in these areas from 5 pm to 12 midnight on May 8th. Traffic diversions will be implemented on several roads in case of traffic jams. It is best to use alternative routes to avoid the jam.
Where will parking be available?
According to a traffic advisory, parking is limited near the stadium. To avoid inconvenience to residents, park and ride facilities have been provided. You can park your vehicle at these locations and reach the stadium by bus or other public transport. Free parking will be available on Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Velodrome Road.
