Arvind Kejriwal Backs Sonam Wangchuk: Amid the ongoing protest in Leh, Arvind Kejriwal has extended his support to the Climate activist, Sonam Wangchuk. Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has openly spoken about the injustice against Sonam Wangchuk. He said that the BJP government is suppressing the voice of the people and weakening the foundations of democracy. The people of Ladakh are not demanding any privileges, but only their constitutional right to vote and choose their own government, but the BJP, despite repeated promises, is denying them this right.

Arvind Kejriwal supports Sonam Wangchuk

Kejriwal said that India did not gain independence from the British so that the people would become slaves of the BJP instead of the British. Revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad sacrificed their lives for democracy, but today the BJP is not providing people their rights by converting states into Union Territories. If the voice of Ladakh is ignored today, tomorrow it will become the voice of the entire nation.

People fighting to protect the democratic structure-Kejriwal

The people of Ladakh are fighting not just for their rights but to protect the democratic structure of the country. Their courage and unity prove that when the people are determined, they can overthrow the government. Arvind Kejriwal described this struggle as the voice of the nation and said that democracy will survive only when every Indian stands with Ladakh.

Sonam Wangchuk's life is also an inspiration. He established SECMOL in 1988, paving the way for education reform, opened alternative schools for underachieving students, and developed technology like the "Ice Stupa" to combat the climate crisis. He also supported the repeal of Article 370 because he champions India's unity.

Arvind Kejriwal is not just a Chief Minister, but a leader who understands public sentiment. He clearly stated that this fight is not just for Sonam Wangchuk, but for the rights and democracy of every Indian. Suppressing the voice of Ladakh today is weakening the democracy of the entire country. Therefore, it is the duty of every citizen to stand with this fight, because today the fight in Ladakh is the fight for true democracy.
