PM Modi Welcomes Trump's Gaza Plan: In a significant move, PM Narendra Modi has welcomed US President Donald Trump's Gaza plan. On Tuesday, PM Modi welcomed Trump's peace plan to end war in Gaza and stated that he hope that all others will also join Trump’s initiative and support this move to end the ongoing war and conflict in Gaza. 

The Gaza peace plan was presented during a meeting with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and was accepted by Israel. And now PM Narendra Modi has backed Trump's Gaza peace plan and called it as a, "viable pathway to long-term and sustainable peace." 

US releases Trump’s plan for ending Israel-Hamas conflict

PM Modi's reaction came after the White House released Donald Trump's Gaza plan for ending conflict in Israel-Hamas. However, no report of the acceptance of the deal by Israel or Hamas presented by the US administration has surfaced yet.

On Monday, Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu stated that a deal has been done between them to end war in Gaza, but it's not sure that whether Hamas will accept the deal or not. 

PM Modi staement on Trump's Gaza Plan

In his statement to Trump's Gaza plan, PM Modi in his X post, wrote, “We welcome President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. It provides a viable pathway to long term and sustainable peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, as also for the larger West Asian region.” 

Expressing his hope for peace, he said, “that all concerned will come together behind President Trump’s initiative and support this effort to end conflict and secure peace.”

Donald Trump's 20-point plan to end Israel-Hamas conflict

US President Donald Trump laid out a 20-point plan to end the ongoing conflict in Israel-Hamas and to form a temporary governing board that would be headed by Trump and will also include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Trump's statement on Israel 

In his statement, Trump stated that Israel would have the “full backing” of the US to take necessary measures to defeat Hamas in case they don't accept the peace deal. Trump, during the news conference said, “I think we are beyond very close.” “We're not quite finished. We have to get Hamas,” he added.

He further added, “If Hamas rejects your plan, Mr. President, or if they supposedly accept it and then do everything to counter it, then Israel will finish the job by itself," Netanyahu said. "This can be done the easy way or it can be done the hard way, but it will be done.”
