PM Modi to inaugurate BJP Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate BJP's new office today at Deendayal Upadhyay Marg, announced Delhi chief Virendra Sachdeva. Notably, Union Minister J P Nadda will accompany the PM at the inauguration ceremony.

Features of BJP's Office

  • It is a five-storey eco-friendly building
  • The new BJP office is built in 825 square metres and consists of:
  • Two basements with the capacity of 50 vehicles
  • A conference room at the ground floor for press events, reception and a canteen
  • An auditorium at the first floor with a capacity of 300 people
  • The second and third floor comprises of offices of prominent figures including state general secretaries, secretaries, and vice-presidents
  • At the top floor, there are offices of Delhi BJP in-charge, state president, and organisational general secretary

What Delhi BJP president said on new office?

Ahead of the BJP new office inauguration, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva extended his wishes to the party workers on the completion of the new office. He further said, "The party's first office was at Ajmeri Gate. Later, it was shifted to Rakabganj Road and for nearly 35 years it functioned from 14 Pandit Pant Marg. Now the office will move to the new building on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. The journey has been full of struggle but it is remarkable."

Notably, the 'bhoomi pujan' ceremony of BJP Delhi office was done by BJP national president JP Nadda on June 9, 2023.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's Statement

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and state president Virendra Sachdeva performed a 'havan' at the newly constructed office. 

Delhi CM talking about the same told reporters, "Party office plays a crucial role in the functioning of a political organisation. The new office building of the Delhi BJP will boost the confidence of lakhs of party workers."
