Love Triangle Turns Deadly: Odisha Woman, Alleged Lover Held In Husband Murder Case
A woman in Odisha arrested for allegedly killing her husband during a quarrel at home and later dumping his body with her boyfriend's help.
Jharsuguda: Amid the recent spate of high-profile murder cases involving husbands, wives, and third parties in the country, a similar sensational case has emerged from Odisha's Jharsuguda district. A woman and her boyfriend have been arrested in connection with the murder. According to police, after the murder, they attempted to conceal the incident by disposing of the body in a field.
This case comes at a time when the Ketan Agarwal murder case in Pune and the Raja Raghuvanshi case in Indore are already in the news .
What is the whole matter?
The incident occurred in Tunguripara village, under the Rengali police station area of Jharsuguda district. The deceased has been identified as Shaktidhar Sahu.
According to reports, on Tuesday night, a heated argument broke out between Shaktidhar and his wife Geeta Mirdha over an unknown reason. Geeta's boyfriend, Tikinu Kisan, was also present at the scene. Angered by the argument, Tikinu Kisan got into a scuffle with Shaktidhar, causing him to fall to the ground. It is alleged that Geeta Mirdha then attacked him with a wooden stick, striking him hard on the head.
What did the police say?
According to reports, Shaktidhar died on the spot due to severe head injuries. Police investigation revealed that after the murder, Geeta and Tikinu together picked up the body and dumped it in a field in the village to prevent anyone from learning about the incident.
Later, after receiving information from local residents, police arrived at the scene. The body was taken into custody and sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination, and an investigation into the case was initiated.
During the investigation, the police discovered evidence that revealed the alleged roles of Geeta Mirdha and Tikinu Kisan. Both were subsequently arrested. After completing the legal process, the police presented both accused in court. Currently, the police are investigating the motive behind the murder.
