Centre Holds 50-Minute Talks With CJP Delegation; JP Nadda, Jitendra Singh Attend
The Union Cabinet on Friday has approved a Bill aimed at tightening the legal framework against question paper leaks and examination-related malpractices.
New Delhi: Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh on Friday held a meeting with Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das and National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka in New Delhi. The discussion was held at Vithal Patel House.
Where did the CJP-Government dialogue happen?
A crucial meeting between the Cockroach Janta Party Spokespersons and the government, which was represented by Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh took place at the Vithalbhai Patel House here on Friday.
The meeting took place after activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day hunger strike late on Thursday night following government assurances on his key demands.

Were the first 17 stations affected?
Earlier on Friday morning, in view of security arrangements, changes were made in services at 17 metro stations of the capital. At that time only interchange was allowed at some stations, but now that option has also been removed at New Delhi Metro station. Major stations closed include many important stations including Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Janpath, Delhi Gate, Supreme Court, Khan Market and Lok Kalyan Marg.
What problems may passengers face?
New Delhi Metro station is counted among the busiest stations of the capital. Every day a large number of people interchange between different metro lines from here. After complete closure of the station, passengers will have to resort to other stations. This may make the journey longer and there will also be a possibility of increased crowd at nearby alternative stations.
Why has security been increased in the capital?
Delhi Police and other security agencies are already on high alert. Additional police forces have been deployed in sensitive areas, while leaves of many policemen have also been cancelled for the time being. Constant monitoring is being done to maintain law and order and special attention is being kept on the public transport system.

If your journey passes through New Delhi Metro station or the affected route, then before leaving home, check the latest updates on DMRC's official website or social media handles. Officials say that the security situation is being constantly reviewed and new information regarding services will be released once the situation becomes normal. At present, passengers have been advised to take alternative routes and plan their journey with extra time.
