Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Trolled: Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made headline for his recent visit to Gaza Peace Summit. During the Gaza Peace Summit, Shehbaz Sharif was seen praising the US President Donald Trump. After his praise for Donald Trump, social media users expressed their views on the same.

During the event, when Shehbaz Sharif was invited by Donald Trump on stage and asked him to “say what you said to me the other day.” Sharif excitingly praised Trump and said he is “a man of peace” and “the most genuine and the most wonderful candidate” for the Nobel Peace Prize.

What Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif said?

In his speech, Sharif said, “Today is one of the greatest days in contemporary history because peace has been achieved after untiring efforts led by President Trump, who is genuinely a man of peace.” He went on to credit Trump for preventing a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, declaring that “had it not been for this gentleman the war could’ve escalated to a level where no one would have lived to tell what happened.”

Donald Trump's Response

Responding to Sharif's speech, Trump, said, “Wow! I didn’t expect that. Let’s go home, there’s nothing more I have to say.” Trump took it lightly. Meanwhile, Pak PM's speech turned into a meme fest for social media users.

Some social media users called the Pakistan Prime Minister’s performance “nauseating” and “embarrassing.”

Another social media user wrote, “When it comes to bootlicking, no one can match Pakistan PM,” while Aash Khalid confessed, “Feeling ashamed to have this man as PM... there’s a way to do this without losing your own dignity.”

Adding to it, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hammad Azhar said, "I see tweets from all over the world taunting Pakistanis over their choice of leaders and their behaviour on the international stage. Let me clarify the confusion; we Pakistanis did not elect this lot... The comical scenes and disgusting sycophancy you are witnessing... we are all as outraged and embarrassed as all of you."
