What help has America sent for relief?
America has announced assistance of 150 million (about Rs 1,250 crore) for Venezuela. Under this, two warships, cargo aircraft, helicopters and search and rescue teams are being sent. According to the US Army's Southern Command, the relief operation will include USS Fort Lauderdale and USS Billings warships, C-17 Globemaster and C-130 Hercules aircraft. With their help, search of the injured, delivery of relief material and rescue operations in the affected areas will be intensified.
Where will the relief amount be used?
According to the US State Department, 50 million dollars will be given to relief agencies already working in Venezuela, while 100 million dollars will be deposited into the United Nations Relief Fund. This amount will be spent on relief work through organisations like World Vision, Samaritan's Purse, Catholic Relief Services, International Medical Corps, International Organization for Migration and World Food Programme.

Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has expressed deep sorrow over the earthquake in Venezuela. He said that Iran stands strongly with Venezuela in this difficult time. Expressing his grief on the social media platform X, Aragchi wrote that Iran is ready to provide all kinds of humanitarian assistance. He expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the earthquake and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
