Actress Nausheen Ali Sardar revealed that celebrity matchmaker Seema Taparia refused to find her a life partner based on her religion. Nausheen called this thinking narrow-minded and also questioned the old attitude shown in the show towards women.

Entertainment News: Actress Nausheen Ali Sardar, who played the lead role in popular TV shows like 'Kusum,' recently shared a personal experience that has made many people think. In a YouTube interview with Siddharth Kannan, Nausheen revealed that Seema Taparia, the famous matchmaker of Netflix's reality series 'Indian Matchmaking,' refused to cooperate with her, and the reason cited for this was her "religious identity."
Incident during the Covid period
Nausheen said that this incident happened during the Covid period. Her sister inspired her to seek help in finding a life partner and contacted Seema Taparia. However, Nausheen was shocked when she received this reply from Taparia: “You are a Muslim, so we cannot find a life partner for you.” Nausheen called this reply extremely absurd and insulting and said that she could only laugh at it.
Does not actively practice Islam
She also said that she does not actively follow Islam. Her father was Punjabi and her mother Iranian, and she grew up in a Catholic environment. Her dream was to marry a life partner who was from a Catholic, Punjabi, or Sikh background. She expressed disappointment that judging someone's identity on the basis of such narrow thinking is not only wrong but also a dangerous sign for the society.
Questioned Show’s View On Women
Nausheen also questioned the limited thinking towards women in the show 'Indian Matchmaking.' She said that in the show, women are often given advice like "staying quiet" or "keeping their eyes down," which is completely irrelevant in today's times.
Apart from 'Kusum,' 43-year-old Nausheen Ali Sardar has also worked in shows like 'Alif Laila,' 'Hatim,' 'Bind Banungi Ghodi Chadhungi,' and some films. She has also appeared in reality shows like 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 'Zor Ka Jhatka.'
