'Awarapan 2' Trailer: Emraan Hashmi Returns Nearly Two Decades Later

Mumbai: The makers have released the official trailer of Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2, the sequel to the 2007 film Awarapan. After almost 19 years, Emraan reprises his iconic role as Shivam Pandit, but in a more ruthless, powerful, and intense avatar.

When is the film releasing?

The movie is set to be released in theaters on August 14, and it has been directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Films. 

Shivam Pandit is determined to go to extreme lengths to seek revenge. The trailer of 'Awarapan 2' has the presence of Shabana Azmi and Disha Patani, where Disha is seen performing commendable stunts, and Shabana is playing the antagonist.

What happens in the ‘Awarapan 2’ trailer?

The trailer of the upcoming movie ‘Awarapan 2’ opens with a shot of a character called Shivam Pandit, played by Emraan Hashmi, who is hanging from the noose. In that scene, Shabana Azmi enters and says, “What a handsome face you have; you are looking forward to dying.” Then, we see some flashbacks of Shivam and his girlfriend. As she speaks to him, he replies, “I have known death for a long time. There is a debt that I need to pay.” 

After waiting for 19 long years, Shivam Pandit has come back to seek his revenge. In the past, he has suffered, but now he will deliver the suffering to the others.

Fans are busy praising the trailer of ‘Awarapan 2’ and are calling it a ‘masterpiece’. Some have said that the trailer has given them goosebumps.

Is ‘Awarapan 2’ going to compete with ‘Partition 1947’?

The release date of ‘Awarapan 2’ is August 14. There were some rumors about its delay, but Emraan has denounced these rumors, stating that the film will hit the theaters on the set date.  It will now clash with Sunny Deol-starrer 'Partition 1947' at the box office on August 14. The film stars Disha Patani, Emraan Hashmi and Shabana Azmi along with Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar, Anirudh Rawal and Puran Gabbi.
