Bollywood News: Bakaiti Trailer Out Zee5's upcoming new show 'Bakaiti' is all set to bring to the audience an emotional and humorous story of a middle-class Indian family. The show is set against the backdrop of Ghaziabad and highlights the everyday struggles, love, and generation gap of the Kataria family. The story is a reflection of every Indian home where laughter, chaos, and unspoken love flourish together. 'Bakaiti' is the story of a middle-class family in Ghaziabad, which tries to maintain a balance between financial constraints, family tensions, and mutual love. The center of this family is 21-year-old Naina (Tanya Sharma), who is ambitious and vivacious but is troubled by the compulsion of living with her younger brother Bharat (Aditya Shukla). Bharat's passion for cricket and his mischievous nature lead to daily arguments with Naina.

Their parents, Sanjay (Rajesh Tailang) and Sushma (Sheeba Chaddha), witness these tensions and deal with their own unspoken sorrows and financial uncertainties. The rift between Sanjay and his younger brother Ajay further increases the tension in the family. The show not only shows the tussle between the children but also brings out the differences among the adults and their family values.

'Bakaiti' in the eyes of the director

Talking about the show, director Ameet Gupta said, “'Bakaiti' was born out of the kind of conversations we all have over dining tables and terrace steps—about the bickering, sacrifices, and the quiet resilience that defines every Indian household. The aim was never to go bigger, but to go deeper—to capture the small, seemingly insignificant moments that truly shape us as a family.”

He added, “We wanted the story to feel alive and honest, with natural camera work, real-time conversations, and emotions that came across without any pretense. It was magical to see Sheeba ji and Rajesh ji together again—they brought a quiet depth and humor that beautifully elevated the soul of the Kataria family.”

Artists in their own words: Experience of 'Bakaiti'

Sharing her experience, actress Sheeba Chaddha said, “Being a part of 'Bakaiti' felt like stepping into a world that is incredibly familiar but which has rarely been depicted with such honesty. The Kataria family reflects the unspoken love, everyday struggles, and quiet strength that characterize many Indian households. Playing Sushma reminded me how laughter and love can thrive even in the midst of chaos. I am thrilled to bring this relevant story to life with such a heartfelt team.”
