Starlink to launch in India with affordable plans starting at ₹850

Recently, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has confirmed that Starlink will soon start offering service in India, one thing is clear that there is only a few steps left in the launch of Starlink. After the letter of intent, Starlink is now awaiting the GMPCS license. After getting the GMPCS license, the final approval will have to be taken from IN-SPACe, after getting the approval, Starlink will be able to start its service in India.

Prior to Starlink, OneWeb and Reliance have received licenses for satellite connectivity. Starlink, a company offering satellite-based internet in more than 100 countries, focuses on delivering the Internet to places where internet infrastructure is not available through fast and low-latency broadband. There is very little time left for the IN-SPACe to get the signal and complete the process of Starlink. Amazon is also engaged in getting licenses and approvals to start satellite internet service in India through Project Kuiper.

Starlink plans price in India

According to the report of The Economic Times, under the promotional offer, the price of unlimited data plans of Starlink company in India will start from $ 10 (about Rs 840). Only time will tell how successful Starlink's strategy of wooing customers at a lower price will be. But if this happens then the rest of the companies offering satellite internet in India will also have to provide plans at affordable prices. In remote areas of India where there is a problem of connectivity, people will benefit from the reach of Starlink and other satellite internet.
