Honor has introduced its flagship tablet, the Honor Pad GT 2 Pro, in China, featuring a massive 10,100 mAh battery, a 165 Hz refresh rate display, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor for premium performance.

Tech News: Honor has launched its new premium tablet, the Honor Pad GT 2 Pro, in China. This tablet is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and has been introduced in two attractive colors: Ice Crystal White and Phantom Gray. It has options of up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Price and Variants

The Honor Pad GT 2 Pro is priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly ₹30,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The other variants—8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB—are priced at CNY 2,699, CNY 2,999, and CNY 3,399 (roughly ₹32,000 to ₹40,000), respectively.

Display and design

The tablet comes with a 12.5-inch 3K LCD display with a resolution of 2,032x3,048 pixels. The screen refresh rate goes up to a maximum of 165 Hz, and it offers a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The display also has an 89% screen-to-body ratio.

Performance and software

Honor Pad GT 2 Pro works on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0.1. It has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor, which supports better performance and multitasking. Apart from this, it has an Ice Cooling 13-layer three-dimensional heat management system, which covers a 44,203 mm² cooling area.

Camera and Multimedia

The tablet has a 13MP camera on the rear, while there is an 8MP selfie camera on the front. It has 8 speakers and 3 microphones, which improve the audio experience. The Honor Pad GT 2 Pro has a 10,100mAh battery, which supports 66W fast charging. The company claims that this device can be fully charged in 73 minutes. Options like Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, OTG, and USB Type-C are available for connectivity. The tablet weighs 532 grams and is 5.95 mm thick, making it a slim and light device.
