NTA Extends Final Window For NEET Fee Refund; Bank Details Must Be Updated By July 7
The NTA has extended the deadline for candidates to update and verify their bank account details for the NEET UG 2026 fee refund process.
New Delhi: After the NEET exam was cancelled on May 3, the National Testing Agency had told students that it would refund all fees. This relief was granted to students after the paper leak. Although the NTA asked the students to update their bank details, however not even half of the students have been able to update their bank details. Now, the NTA has given students one last chance, urging them to submit their details by July 7.
What did the NTA say?
The NTA has posted on social media that the refund process for students who updated their bank details has begun. This means that their fees are being credited back to their accounts. If your bank details haven't been updated yet, you can complete this process by July 7.
How many students have updated their details?
Over 2.2 million students applied for the NEET exam. All of them paid their fees according to their respective categories, but not even half have applied for a refund yet. According to data released by the NTA, only 8,29,510 students have updated their bank details, meaning there are still 1.4 million students who have not completed the fee refund process. These students have only one day left; if they don't provide their information by July 7, their fees will not be refunded.
