How much damage was caused?
There were 30 people in the bus. The worst death was that of driver Shambhu. The poor guy got stuck in the steering wheel. He could not escape and was burnt alive in the fire. The remaining 24 people were badly burnt. Of these, even the doctors are not saying that the condition of 12 is good. Everyone was immediately taken to the hospital. The family members are crying and in bad condition.
When did the police arrive and what did they do?
As soon as the news was received, SP City Ravi Shankar Prasad himself ran to the spot. CO Tejas Tripathi and Fire Officer Satyendra Pandey were also there. Police took out Shambhu's body and sent it for postmortem. The injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Due to the accident, there was a long line of vehicles on the expressway.
Why did the accident happen?
Police believe that it was nighttime and the bus was moving very fast. The driver would not have been able to see the container in the dark. Or maybe he had dozed off. Overall, negligence is clearly visible. One mistake on the expressway and life is over. Right now the police are investigating. The driver of the container has fled from the spot. Police are searching for him. Once again the high speed extinguished the lamps of many houses.
