Punjab Police Extradites Babbar Khalsa Terrorist Parminder Singh Pindi From Abu Dhabi To India Successfully
In a significant counter-terrorism operation, Punjab Police, with central agencies and Interpol’s support, successfully extradited Babbar Khalsa terrorist Parminder Singh alias Pindi from Abu Dhabi to India.

Babbar Khalsa Terrorist Arrested: In line with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's policy of "justice for all," the Punjab Police has achieved a major breakthrough against terrorism and organized crime. Parminder Singh alias Pindi, a dangerous terrorist and criminal associated with the Khalistani terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), has been extradited from Abu Dhabi to India. This operation was carried out in collaboration with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Interpol, and other central agencies.
Pindi was part of a dangerous network
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav stated that Pindi, a resident of Harsha village in Batala, was not only a criminal but also the mastermind of an international terrorist syndicate. He was involved in numerous violent incidents in India, including petrol bomb attacks, extortion, and other terrorist activities. He had direct links with notorious terrorists Harvinder Singh alias Rinda and Happy Passian, who were hiding in Pakistan.
Social media became a tool of terror.
Pindi misused modern technology and social media to commit crimes. He used digital means to transfer money, send messages, and plot conspiracies. This demonstrates how terrorist networks, even in this technological age, strive to evade the law, yet they are no longer beyond the surveillance of security agencies.
Action initiated under the Red Corner Notice
Pindi was identified in Abu Dhabi only after the Batala police issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) to Interpol through the CBI. Subsequently, on September 24, 2025, a special team led by senior police officers was dispatched to the UAE. There, with the cooperation of the Ministry of External Affairs and local authorities, all legal procedures were completed and Pindi was extradited to India.
DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that this extradition is a testament to the Punjab Police's " zero tolerance" policy against terrorism. He expressed special gratitude to the central agencies, the CBI, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the UAE government for this success. Meanwhile, Batala SSP Suhail Qasim Mir called it a major blow to the international terrorist network.
The CBI and Interpol
played a crucial role in this entire operation, as the National Central Bureau of Interpol in India. The Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol through "Indiapol" and the coordination made this entire process internationally recognized and legally feasible.
The law has a long reach
This operation sends a clear message that no matter where terrorists hide in the world, India's security agencies will find them and bring them to justice. This operation also signals the possibility of taking even more stringent measures against terrorism in Punjab and the country in the future.
