Punjab CM Mann Launches Flood Relief Health Drive, Promises Daily Medical Updates for All Citizens

Punjab News: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has called Punjab his family, promising that no person will suffer after the recent floods. He said health teams are working round the clock in villages and towns. Mann added that special health safety plans have already been launched. His words came after floodwaters brought the risk of fever, diarrhoea, and infections. The Chief Minister underlined that the government is fully alert. This message reassured people that the administration is prepared.

Medical camps across villages

According to the government, medical camps were organized in over 2,100 villages between September 14 and 16. Around 1,42,395 people were checked by doctors during this period. Out of them, 19,187 were treated for fever and 22,118 for skin diseases. Another 14,848 cases of cough, diarrhoea, and infections were also noted. The Chief Minister said such wide health checks are necessary. These steps show the seriousness of the state administration.

Daily health updates assured

Bhagwant Mann announced that health data will be released every evening at 6 PM. The aim is to provide people with timely and reliable information on the ground. He urged anyone feeling fever or skin problems to immediately visit medical camps. Doctors are available in every government-run setup. These measures make sure no one is left behind. Such openness helps people trust official information.

Relief and health facilities

So far, more than 1,250 health and relief camps have been organized across Punjab. Over 1.8 lakh people have already benefited from them. Health staff are also visiting Anganwadi centres and Aashirwad homes. Families are receiving medicines, advice, and preventive care. The Chief Minister said doctors are on duty day and night. These camps have become the backbone of health safety.

ASHA workers survey homes

Under a special drive, ASHA workers are going door-to-door in flood-hit areas. They are spreading awareness about clean drinking water, hygiene, and mosquito prevention. Families are told to boil water and keep surroundings neat. Many have already been examined in these surveys. People are following simple safety tips. Officials confirmed lakhs of homes have been covered. This ensures safety at the household level.

Volunteers join massive drive

Along with government staff, AAP party workers are also active in flood-hit areas. Ministers and MLAs are personally visiting villages to encourage people. Sanitation drives have been organized by volunteers. Relief efforts are supported by ordinary Punjabis too. The Chief Minister said this is everyone’s duty, not just the government’s.
