Punjab News:  In this difficult time of natural disaster, the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab has presented a historic example of service and dedication. With the quick and sensitive action of the government, so far 15,688 people have been taken to safe places and 7,144 people have found shelter in relief camps.

More than 2.56 lakh people were affected by the flood and its impact was seen in 1,044 villages, but the government immediately started relief and rehabilitation work and did everything from taking people to safe places to providing every necessary facility.

'Every loss will be compensated'

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself has visited the affected areas like Gurdaspur, Sultanpur Lodhi and Pathankot and taken stock of them at the ground level. He assured the affected families that no one will be left helpless, every loss will be compensated and said that rest assured that the situation will soon return to normal.

The most noteworthy aspect was that instead of being limited to a formal aerial survey, Chief Minister Mann went to the villages on foot and interacted with the people, listened to their problems and arranged solutions on the spot. This is a powerful proof of his “People First” policy, which instilled confidence and trust in the affected families.

Kataruchak Reaches Bhoa Villages

The visits of the ministers made this relief operation even more humane and effective. Food and Supplies Minister Lalchand Kataruchak reached the remotest villages of Bhoa on a bike and interacted with the people to know their condition, Minister Hardeep Munda visited every house in Sultanpur Lodhi to listen to their problems, Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh personally dispatched the relief trucks, while Education Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO worked barefoot with the villagers in the Patti area of Tarn Taran, carrying a shovel, and helped fill a deep pit created by a landslide.

In Fazilka, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur went to Nurshah village to interact with the affected families and distributed relief materials. Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Saund and Cabinet Minister Laljit Bhullar also went to different districts and personally distributed the materials.

Ministers Donate One Month Salary

For the first time in history, all the ministers of the Punjab government donated their entire one month salary to the relief fund. Starting from the Chief Minister, every minister dedicated their personal income to serving the people, showing that the Aam Aadmi Party government does not just give speeches, but proves its commitment with its actions.

Government Relief With Sensitivity

During the relief operation, the government not only provided material assistance but also strengthened the morale of the people. More than 3200 ration kits, 17,000 food packets and 45,000 water bottles were delivered to the affected families. 700 quintals of dry fodder and 1450 feed bags were arranged for the animals. Along with this, innovative initiatives like 24-hour active helpline, digital tracking of relief materials, community kitchen, medical camp for animals and counselling for children proved that this government is working with sensitivity and seriousness in every aspect.

Public Safety And Well Being

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said in his message that the first priority of the Punjab government is the safety and welfare of the people. Above politics, only humanity has been served. All the affected families will be compensated through Direct Benefit Transfer within 15 days and for this, a survey has been started by conducting a Girdawari immediately.

The people of Punjab can proudly say today that they have got a government that does not just make promises, but stands with them at every step in difficult times. This relief campaign of the Mann government has emerged as a true example of the politics of service, dedication and sensitivity and has given Punjab a new identity as a strong state.
