Mann Government’s Big Announcement, Punjab Becomes India’s First State To Screen Cancer And Eye Diseases With Machines
Punjab government has launched modern screening machines for cancer and eye diseases, marking a historic step. This initiative promises faster diagnosis and stronger protection for public health across the state.

Punjab News: Punjab has created history in healthcare under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. It is the first state to launch modern machines for breast and cervical cancer as well as eye disease detection. Now, people will not have to wait long for medical reports. Thousands of families will directly benefit from this initiative aimed at safeguarding health. Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh officially launched the devices in Chandigarh. He shared that the government aims to conduct 600 eye screenings and 300 cancer screenings every day. Earlier, patients waited months for tests, but now reports will be available instantly. This project will secure not just women but the entire community.
Technology Saving Public Money
This is not the first time Punjab government has connected technology with public welfare. Recently, 3,369 roads across the state were surveyed. Findings showed that 843 of them were already in good condition. Earlier governments had wasted millions on unnecessary repairs. With this survey, Punjab saved 383 crore rupees, which will now be used for people’s welfare.
Transparency In Public Systems
The saved money is being redirected for reform. Punjab’s prisons are being upgraded with 5G jammers, high-tech cameras, and live monitoring systems. Driving license tests now use advanced digital methods, ending corruption and middlemen. Every applicant’s performance is recorded, ensuring transparency and fairness in results.
Education Embraces Innovation
The government is also reshaping education. Ten thousand teachers are being trained in modern technology. These teachers will not just teach but also guide students in digital skills. Punjab’s youth will grow into job creators instead of job seekers, ensuring a stronger economy in the future.
Support For Farming And Language
Punjab Agricultural University has started new courses in advanced technology for farmers. This will help families increase yield with scientific methods. The government is also integrating Punjabi language into digital platforms. This mission will preserve culture while opening new digital opportunities for local youth.
A New Face Of Punjab
Chief Minister Mann has emphasized that these initiatives are not limited to policy papers. They will be visible in people’s lives. Punjab is now moving in a new direction where development is not about buildings alone but about technology reaching every citizen. The state is building an image of honesty, growth, and transparency rather than corruption.
