National News: The Punjab government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has launched an important and thoughtful step aimed at connecting the youth of the state with their proud heritage and glorious past. This initiative seeks to help young people understand and appreciate their roots. The government has decided to introduce the youth to the life, teachings, and great sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, known as the “Hind Di Chadar” (Shield of India), so they can realize the greatness of their history.

Education Department takes the lead

The Education Department has been given the responsibility to bring this vision into reality. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains made a major announcement and shared the complete plan. He said that the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be celebrated with full respect and devotion. On this sacred occasion, a series of seminars will be held across all government and private colleges as well as universities in Punjab.

A step to build strong and responsible youth

The government’s goal behind this move is clear. It wants higher education to go beyond books and degrees. The true aim is to develop a generation that is not only intelligent but also strong in values, spirit, and character. This program is seen as an important effort to prepare young people to become responsible and good citizens.

Focus on Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s teachings

Explaining the theme of the seminars, Minister Bains said that the main focus will be on Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s inspiring life and his timeless message. Students will be guided by scholars and experts about how Guru Ji sacrificed his life for the protection of faith, humanity, and moral principles. They will learn about Guru Ji’s path of peace, respect for all religions, equality, and courage. The government believes that Guru Ji’s teachings are still meaningful today and can guide the youth toward a righteous life.

Preparations and implementation plan

All arrangements have been completed to ensure the success of this special event. The Education Department has fixed the schedule from 27 October to 30 November for these programs. Official letters and detailed instructions have been sent to all colleges and universities. The Education Minister has stressed that this is a sacred and serious event, and all programs must be held with full religious respect and dignity. This step by the Punjab government is truly commendable. It will help the young generation understand their glorious history and the supreme sacrifices of the Sikh Gurus. It will also create deep respect in their hearts for these sacrifices and inspire them to follow the path of truth, service, and sacrifice shown by their Gurus for generations to come.
