Details of the Tragedy
Preliminary investigations suggest the car, a tourist vehicle, lost control while navigating a steep bend, plummeting into a gorge. The deceased, whose identities are yet to be fully confirmed, include three men and one woman, reportedly from outside Himachal Pradesh. The sole survivor, a 30-year-old male, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Lady Willingdon Hospital in Manali, where he is undergoing intensive treatment. Police and local rescue teams worked swiftly to retrieve the bodies and assist in the operation.
Chief Minister’s Response
In a statement issued by CM Sukhu, he directed the Kullu district administration to ensure immediate medical care for the injured survivor, emphasizing the provision of advanced treatment. He also instructed officials to support the families of the deceased and expedite the investigation into the accident’s cause.
