Delhi Restaurant-Cum-Hotel Fire: Short Circuit Behind Blaze

As per the sources, Delhi hotel fire occurred due to short circuit and faulty wiring in building.

New Delhi: The initial investigations found that the deadly fire broke out likely to the caused by short circuit. Authorities confirmed that total 21 people killed in Delhi's Malviya Nagar fire accident, out of which 6 were foreign nationals and 9 Indian citizen. However rest 6 people still cannot be confirmed. Officials are in the process to identify the bodies and inform their families.

Carelessness of Hotel-cum-restaurant?

During the investigation, It had been confirmed that the hotel had not the safety certifications. The property was operating without NOC.

Lavkesh Bajaj, owner of the hotel, confessed in a police interrogation that he was at the nearby of the Flourish Stay B&B, but he fled from the spot when the blaze erupted because  he panicked.

What happened next?

The accused is likely to present before the court around 2 PM, on Thursday. Delhi Police will continue to further probe and will kept him in custody for three to four days.

Delhi Government Panel's action?

Officials given hints regarding the large scale sealing operation if the crucial; violation had been found. In the investigation and continuing interrogations, officials will verify the situation and further consequences and take prompt action on same.
