IPL 2025: The thrilling games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 are set to begin again. Because of issues between India and Pakistan, the league had to be suspended for a while, but now with the situation being better, hopes of resuming the tournament have grown strong. The BCCI has suggested that the excitement of IPL can once again be witnessed on the grounds of the country.

A top BCCI functionary stated that following the latest ceasefire, the IPL would no longer be confined to South India but could be played anywhere in the country. Meanwhile, it is possible to declare new dates following a critical meeting on Sunday (May 11) or Monday (May 12).

IPL was suspended due to Indo-Pak tension

IPL 2025 had to be suspended last week due to heightened security fears as India and Pakistan's tensions rose. On May 8, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs Delhi Capitals (DC) match number 58 in Dharamsala was also suspended midway for the same reason. Punjab's team was then on 122 runs with 1 wicket down in 10.1 overs.

The competition now will be conducted throughout India

The BCCI spokesperson said, "The war between India and Pakistan has ceased to exist, so now the matches can be staged not only in South India but throughout the nation."

The matter of players will also be decided

The issue of foreign players being available will also be addressed in the next meeting of the BCCI, as some of the players went back to their country. New match dates will be fixed with consideration to their availability.

Don't worry, fans: BCCI

The board official confirmed that "fans need not worry. The board is in touch with all the stakeholders and the IPL can resume very soon."

The 58th match was suspended in Dharamsala

Priyansh Arya was on good form when the ongoing game in Dharamsala was suspended on May 8. He had scored 70 runs off 34 balls with the aid of 5 fours and 6 sixes. Prabhsimran Singh was not out on 50 off 28 balls, while Shreyas Iyer came back unbeaten on 0 runs.
