Indian Wicketkeeper Ruled Out Of Asia Cup After Dengue, Replacement Announced By Team Management
The Indian wicketkeeper batsman has contracted dengue, due to which he has had to be ruled out of the tournament. He has been replaced by another player in the team. The player who was affected by dengue had earlier suffered a groin injury.

Sports News: Team India is reported to be leaving for Asia Cup on 4th September. But before that Dhruv Jurel has contracted dengue. Due to dengue, Dhruv Jurel has had to be out of the Duleep Trophy tournament. Dhruv Jurel was the captain of Central Zone in Duleep Trophy. But now after withdrawing from the tournament, he will not be seen playing in the semi-final match starting from 4th September. Dhruv Jurel getting dengue is no less than a big setback for Central Zone in an important match like the semi-final of Duleep Trophy.
Out of the tournament due to dengue
However, Dhruv Jurel did not play for Central Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarter-final match. Jurel had a groin injury at that time, due to which he kept himself out of the match. After suffering from dengue before the semi-final match of Duleep Trophy, Dhruv Jurel has not only been out of the team, but in his place Vidarbha captain Akshay Wadkar has been included in the Central Zone team.
Jurel is part of Team India's reserves in Asia Cup
However, Dhruv Jurel's dengue will not have any significant impact on Team India's Asia Cup campaign. This is because he is not a part of India's main team in that multi-nation tournament. Dhruv Jurel was kept in the list of reserve players. India has selected 5 reserve players for the Asia Cup. But none of them will go to UAE with the main team. These players can get a place only if someone from the 15-member squad selected for the Asia Cup gets injured.
