National News: In a harrowing incident ,Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, narrowly escaped injury when a speeding truck crashed into his convoy near Goraul toll plaza on National Highway-22 in Vaishali district. The accident, which occurred during a tea break while Tejashwi was returning from Madhepura to Patna, left three security personnel injured, with one suffering a head injury. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader, who was just five feet from the impacted vehicle, described the event as “terrifying” and called for stricter road safety measures. The truck driver has been detained, and a joint investigation by Vaishali and Patna police is underway to determine the cause, amid rising concerns about political figures’ security in Bihar.

According to Media Reports, a truck lost control and rammed into 2-3 vehicles in the convoy, causing chaos. Three security personnel, including two police officers and a driver, sustained injuries and were rushed to Hajipur Sadar Hospital, where Tejashwi visited them to ensure proper care. The crash, reported by outlets like Telangana Today, damaged several vehicles but left Tejashwi unharmed, as he stood mere feet away. Preliminary police findings suggest the truck’s high speed and possible driver negligence as factors, though technical issues like brake failure are also being investigated. The detained driver faces charges, with police analyzing CCTV footage and call records to ascertain if the incident was accidental or intentional.
