This threat has been given by a young man from Satna in Madhya Pradesh through a comment on Facebook. After which a wave of protest has spread in the Rewa and Satna districts. Many social organizations have also reacted strongly to this matter.
The youth who threatened has been identified as Shatrughan Singh. Shatrughan has described himself as a journalist in his profile. He made inflammatory comments on a viral video of Sant Premanand Maharaj and threatened to kill him. The police has started monitoring the case and has said that action will be taken.
Sant Samaj got enraged by threats on social media
After the threat received by Sant Premanand Maharaj, anger is clearly visible in the Sant Samaj across the country. Dinesh Falahari Baba, President of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Nyas, reacted sharply and said, "If anyone dares to look at Premanand Baba with an evil eye, we will not tolerate it. We are ready to take the bullet of any criminal on our chest." He warned that even a tyrant like Kansa was killed in Brajbhoomi, so criminals will not be spared.
Mahants demanded strict action
Mahant Ramdas Maharaj also expressed his displeasure over this incident and said, "Protection of cow, girl, and sadhu is very important. Whoever makes such a comment against Premanand Maharaj, the Sant Samaj will not spare him." He demanded from the government that strict legal action should be taken against such a person immediately so that no one can do such an act in the future.
Satna police responded
Satna police has become alert about this whole matter. District SP Ashutosh Gupta said, "At present we have not received any formal complaint, but as soon as we receive the complaint, necessary action will be taken under the law." The police have started monitoring social media and the activities of the youth.
Controversy arose from the reaction to the video
Actually, recently a video of Premanand Maharaj went viral on social media in which he advised the youth to avoid arbitrary and inappropriate behavior. He had said, "Nowadays the trend of boyfriend-girlfriend, breakup, and patch-up has increased among the youth, which is ruining life." Hurt by this video, Shatrughan Singh used abusive language and threatened to kill him.
The objectionable comment went viral
On Thursday, Shatrughan Singh wrote in the comment section of a Facebook post, "It is a matter of the entire society! If he had spoken about my family, it would have been Premanand or someone else, and I would have beheaded him." This comment quickly went viral on social media, after which a wave of protest and anger spread. The young man has described himself as a journalist on his profile.
