Horrific nights of detention, conspiracy against saffron? Shocking revelations in Sadhvi Pragya's testimony

In her statement to the court, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has alleged physical and mental torture during her 13-day detention. She claimed that the ATS tried to hurt her religious sentiments and force her to answer questions related to BJP-RSS leaders.

National News: The second part of BJP leader Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur's statement in court is even more mentally and emotionally disturbing. It details how she was not only physically tortured but also mentally tortured during her 13-day detention. The sadhvi alleged that her guru and spiritual life were also attacked during the interrogation. The ATS officials threatened her that "we will bring your guru and bring him down here. We will make him take off the saffron clothes that you are wearing. The whole drama between you and your guru will end now."

 According to the Sadhvi

The entire effort was to force him to say that the Malegaon blast was ordered by senior RSS or BJP leaders. He said, 'Hemant Karkare used to ask repeatedly whether Narendra Modi had given the money. Did Yogi give the order? You stayed with him for several days; tell me what the matter was. My stomach was in spasms, my hands were blue, my fingers were numb, and I was unable to move or think due to the pain.'

According to the statement, the sadhvi was beaten with a belt dozens of times, and her hands were soaked in hot water with salt. She said, 'I was asked to make paper balls with my palms, I was beaten with a belt, and when I didn't say anything, I was threatened with being stripped naked.'

Was this investigation politically motivated?

This entire statement raises questions as to whether the investigating agencies misused their powers, whether the Sadhvi was tortured just because she was a sannyasi, wore saffron clothes, and was associated with the BJP-RSS, and whether the ATS did all this out of ideology or under political pressure.

The country's then Home Minister and senior Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde was contacted and asked for his opinion on the statements made by him and the court orders in this matter, but he refused to talk on the subject and said, 'I don't want to talk about it. No comment.'
