Noida-Delhi Traffic: Police Issues Advisory For Smooth Travel Today; Roads To Avoid, Diversion Routes
The DND and Kalindi Kunj routes are expected to be heavily congested on Tuesday. Try to avoid these routes during the morning and afternoon.
Noida: Major events are scheduled to be held in Delhi and Noida on Tuesday, which marks Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's birth anniversary. Consequently, heavy traffic jams are expected in both cities from morning until evening. The Delhi Traffic Police and Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Police have also issued advisories urging people to take alternatives routes.
Is the protest still going on in Noida?
Violent erupted in several areas of Noida on Monday following a protest by employees. Protests are still ongoing in Noida's Phase 2 area. Workers of a company staged a sit-in protest outside the company to press for their demands. Their main demands include a pay increase and other benefits.
Some workers have also started protesting in Sector 80, Noida and have even thrown stones at the police. Police are trying to control the situation.
How is police management?
To maintain traffic flow, diversions have been implemented on several major routes.
In case of traffic congestion near Dalit Prerna Sthal on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, vehicles will be diverted via the Mahamaya Flyover towards Sector 37. These vehicles will proceed to their destination via Sector 37, Attapir Chowk, and Rajnigandha Chowk via the Sector 15 roundabout.
If traffic congestion increases here, traffic will be diverted via the Film City Flyover towards Sector 18. Vehicles will then proceed via the Rajnigandha Chowk, Sector 15, or Sector 18 underpasses.
In case of heavy traffic congestion on the DND and Film City flyovers, traffic will be diverted via the Sector 14A Flyover towards Sector 15. This route will continue via Sector 15, Rajnigandha Chowk, and Attapir Chowk to Sector 37.
