IMD Predicts June 4 Monsoon Arrival in Keralam, Heavy Rain Warning Alerts
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that the southwest monsoon is expected to onset over Keralam on June 4, bringing heavy rainfall and triggering red and orange alerts.
Keralam: There's a big news coming for monsoon. It will enter through Kerala on 4th June and predicted heavy rainfall on same day. According to Indian Metereological Department (IMD), south-western region and a part of south easten Arabian sea, Laksahdweep, Kerala, Tamil Nadu conditions are favorable for the advance of the monsoon.
IMD earlier announced May 26, for the monsoon. But on May 29, it was reannounced that the monsoon may reach by the next week, considering delaying in weather. IMD also noted that the the rainfall will be 90% of the average longterm rainfall in India.
