Security forces achieved major success before August 15, with 3 terrorist aides arrested from Kupwara
Ahead of Independence Day, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have arrested three associates of terrorists in the Wajama Handwara area of Kupwara district.

Security forces have arrested three associates of terrorists in the Wazama Handwara area of Kupwara district. The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Iqbal Pandit, son of Sharifuddin Pandit; Sajjad Ahmed Shah, son of Bashir Ahmed Shah; and Ashfaq Ahmed Malik, son of Shabir Ahmed Malik.
What was recovered during the arrest?
During the arrest, one pistol, two pistol cartridges, 20 AK-47 rifle cartridges, and 20 posters were recovered from them. Security forces believe that these people were providing logistics and other support to active terrorist.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the Army foiled another infiltration bid near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri sector. The incident took place in the Churunda area of Uri in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. An Indian Army jawan was martyred during the encounter. Officials said that this attempt by Pakistani terrorists was foiled in time.
BSF Hands Over Pakistani Intruder
Additionally, the Border Security Force (BSF) handed over the body of a Pakistani intruder to the Pakistan Rangers. The intruder was trying to cross the international border in the Hiranagar sector of the Kathua district. According to the BSF, despite repeated warnings, he tried to cross the border and aggressively moved towards the fence.
In this incident that happened two days ago, the BSF retaliated and opened fire on him, in which he was seriously injured. He was later taken to AIIMS Jammu for treatment, where he died.
