Massive fire breaks out at SMS Hospital in Jaipur, 7 patients die, CM Bhajan Lal takes stock
Jaipur SMS Hospital Fire: Regarding the fire at SMS Hospital, Rajasthan Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham said, "Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has reached after receiving information about the fire in the ICU due to short circuit. This incident is tragic. Some people have lost their lives."

National News: A fire broke out in the ICU ward of the trauma center of Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, late last night. Seven patients died in this incident , while many critically ill patients were evacuated safely. Doctors, nurses and fire brigade personnel present at the spot brought the fire under control after much effort. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma immediately reached the hospital and took stock of the situation.
Anurag Dhakad, in-charge of the trauma centre at SMS Hospital, confirmed the death of six people in the fire. He said, “It seems that the fire was caused by a short circuit. Our patients were already in a very critical condition. Most were in a coma . The toxic gases released due to the fire further worsened their condition. They needed constant support. We tried to shift them to the ICU on the ground floor , but were unable to save them. ”
Anurag Dhakad said that six patients have lost their lives, while five are still critical. Of the deceased patients, two were women and four were men. We have evacuated 24 people, out of which 11 are in the trauma ICU and 13 in the adjoining ICU . ”
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reaches hospital
Regarding the fire at SMS Hospital , Rajasthan Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham said, " Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has reached the hospital after receiving information about the fire due to short circuit in the ICU. This incident is tragic." Some people have lost their lives. The SMS administration will release the death toll. Most of the 24 have been rescued . Their complete treatment is our priority." As soon as the information about the incident was received, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma immediately reached the hospital and took stock of the situation.
