After Pahalgam attack, India's biggest economic attack on Pakistan, goods worth 12 crores seized

After the Pahalgam attack, India's pressure on Pakistan has increased further. Now, under 'Operation Deep Manifest,' the government has given a big message by seizing goods worth more than Rs 12 crore coming from Pakistan through third countries.

National News: After the Pahalgam terror attack, India has intensified action against Pakistan on many fronts. After destroying the terrorist hideouts in 'Operation Sindoor,' now 'Operation Deep Manifest' has been started. Its purpose is to completely stop the smuggling from Pakistan through third countries. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has so far seized Pakistani goods worth Rs 12 crore 4 lakh in this operation. These goods were not being brought to India directly from Pakistan but via the UAE. All the seized goods have been seized under the legal process.

Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary told the Parliament that till July 2025, 5 cases have been registered in this operation. In all the cases, the goods were manufactured in Pakistan and were sent to India via the Emirates. The government made it clear that this action will continue in the future as well.

Smuggling was being done from the UAE

Investigation revealed that the goods were first sent from Pakistan's Karachi port to Dubai. There the container was changed and sent to India from Jebel Ali Port. This method was adopted to circumvent Pakistan's ban on direct imports.

A large consignment was caught in June

On June 26, the officials seized 1115 metric tons of goods in 39 containers, which were worth about Rs 9 crore. A partner of an importing company was also arrested in this case. Violations of DGFT orders and several laws were found.

Strictness after the Pahalgam attack

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India had completely banned all types of imports coming from Pakistan. But investigations revealed that goods from Pakistan were being sent through third countries. Only after this 'Operation Deep Manifest' was started.

Strict monitoring of the network

DRI and the Customs Department are now keeping a special watch on such networks. Intelligence agencies have been given input that businessmen connected to Pakistan are using the UAE and other countries. The government says that every such attempt will be foiled.
