Himachal CM Sukhu Promises New Homes, Rs 7 Lakh Aid for Mandi Disaster Victims

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that every disaster affected person of Mandi district will get a house. Himachal government will provide financial assistance of seven lakh rupees. It is not easy to build a house in the state. He understands the pain of the people.

In the hour of crisis, the government stands firmly with every affected family.Addressing the residents, he pledged that every disaster-affected individual would receive a new house and financial assistance of Rs 7 lakh from the state government. This commitment aims to restore stability to communities grappling with the aftermath of recent calamities, ensuring no one is left without shelter or support.

He assured comprehensive compensation to cover these losses, emphasizing the government’s dedication to holistic recovery. “We stand with our people in this hour of need,” Sukhu declared, outlining plans to rebuild livelihoods and infrastructure. The promise of financial aid and housing is a significant step toward helping families regain their footing.

To address the immediate challenges of disrupted connectivity, the state has deployed 50 JCBs to restore roads in the affected areas. These efforts are critical for ensuring access to remote villages, enabling the delivery of relief materials and facilitating reconstruction.

The Chief Minister also urged residents to remain resilient and cooperate with authorities as relief operations continue. The Himachal Pradesh Disaster Management Authority is working closely with local officials to assess damages and prevent future vulnerabilities. Sukhu emphasized the importance of community preparedness, encouraging families to stay informed about safety measures and emergency protocols.
