ED raid on Saurabh Bharadwaj’s residence sparks political storm, AAP alleges BJP conspiracy to mislead public
AAP leader Atishi called the ED raid on Saurabh Bharadwaj’s house fake, alleging it is a BJP-driven conspiracy to distract citizens from real issues, stressing the case is completely baseless.

National News: Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Atishi hit back at the Modi government and BJP over the ED raid at Saurabh Bhardwaj's house. She said that the ED raid at Saurabh Bhardwaj's house was done to divert the attention of the people of the country from the issue related to the Prime Minister.
When an RTI activist asked to see Modi ji's degree, Delhi University refused to show the degree and went to the High Court. After all, what kind of university is this, which is not proud of the fact that the Prime Minister of the country is its alumnus? At the time when this case was being reported, Saurabh Bhardwaj was not even a minister; this entire case is false.
Diversion From Ongoing National Discussion
Atishi, while addressing a press conference at AAP headquarters on Tuesday, said that this raid is completely fake and its purpose is to divert attention from the discussion going on across the country since Monday on the issue of degrees related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Atishi said that an RTI activist had received an order from the Central Information Commission (CIC) that Delhi University will have to show Modi's degree, but the university did not do so and went to the High Court against the order of the CIC.
What kind of university is this?
Atishi raised the question that if Delhi University is not proud of the fact that the country's prime minister was its student, then what kind of university is it? Atishi gave the example that when Rekha Gupta became the Chief Minister of Delhi, Delhi University called her and felicitated her because their student became the Chief Minister. Similarly, when she herself was the Chief Minister, St. Stephen's College and Oxford University proudly publicized her achievement. But Delhi University wants to hide Modi ji's degree, due to which questions are being raised in the country.
This case is completely baseless
Atishi claimed that a fake ED raid was conducted at Saurabh Bhardwaj's house to suppress the discussion on Modi ji's degree. She said that this case is completely baseless because at the time when the case was being reported (24 hospital construction projects in Delhi in 2018-19), Saurabh Bhardwaj was not even a minister.
He became a minister two years later. Atishi called it ridiculous and compared it to raiding Modi ji or Rekha Gupta in cases like the Colgate scam, the 2G scam, the Commonwealth Games scam, or the CNG fitness scam during the Congress regime.
Every conspiracy of BJP failed
Atishi took a jibe at BJP and said that AAP has not done corruption of even a rupee to date and will never do it. She gave the example of Satyendra Jain, who was raided in a fake case, and years later CBI and ED had to file a closure report because no evidence was found against him. Atishi said that every conspiracy of BJP has failed and will fail in the future too. She rejected BJP's corruption claims and said that if Saurabh Bhardwaj can be raided while he is a non-minister, then will BJP raid Modi ji or Rekha Gupta for old scams? This raid is only a conspiracy to divert attention and scare "AAP," but AAP is not going to be scared.
Why was there a raid at Saurabh Ji's place?
Atishi said on X, "Why was a raid conducted at Saurabh Ji's place today?" Because questions are being raised on Modi ji's degree in the whole country, is Modi ji's degree fake? The raid has been conducted to divert attention from this discussion. At the time when the case was being reported, Saurabh ji was not even a minister. That means the whole case is false. Satyendra ji was also kept in jail for three years, and finally CBI and ED had to give a closure report. It is clear from this that all the cases filed against Aam Aadmi Party leaders are just false and politically motivated.
