Preparations are in full swing across the country for the national festival. The most awaited moment of this day is the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort. This year PM Modi will address the country for the 12th consecutive time. This time he has appealed to the countrymen to share ideas and suggestions for this historic speech.
PM Modi has sought suggestions from the public through a post on social media platform X. In his message, he wrote, "As we move towards this year's Independence Day, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Indians! What topics or ideas would you like to see in this year's Independence Day speech?" This appeal gives every citizen of the country an opportunity to participate in the national dialogue.

Prime Minister Modi also told the mediums through which citizens can share their views. For this, an open forum has been started on the MyGov portal and NaMo app. Through these platforms, people can send their suggestions directly to the Prime Minister's Office. This is a democratic initiative that makes citizens a part of policy and discussions.
Delhi Police on alert regarding security
In view of Independence Day, a massive security campaign is being carried out in the capital, Delhi. According to PTI sources, Delhi Police has launched a thorough inspection campaign at important places in the city. This campaign lasted for five days, in which security arrangements were checked in areas around hotels, railway stations, bus stands, and metro stations.
Security audit at over 100 locations
In the inspection conducted by the police, a security audit was done at more than 100 places, in which many flaws were revealed. The most prominent of these flaws was the non-functioning of CCTV cameras in hotels and public places. Many security vulnerabilities were also found in metro stations, railway premises, restaurants, and parking areas. Delhi Police has given instructions to rectify these flaws in time so that any kind of lapse can be avoided on the national festival.
Administration Alert Ahead of Independence Day
Police and security agencies are on full alert mode to conduct the Independence Day celebrations in the national capital in a peaceful manner. Drones, bomb squads, and special commando squads are also being deployed to keep an eye on suspicious activities. The administration aims to ensure tight security from the Red Fort to every corner of the city on August 15.
