New Delhi: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's younger brother, Anmol Bishnoi, has finally been extradited to India from the United States. According to NIA sources, he landed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, after which various investigative agencies took him into custody and began questioning him. Several serious cases are registered against Anmol in India. He was taken directly from here to the Patiala House Court, where the NIA will seek transit remand.
Anmol Bishnoi's role in three major cases
It's worth noting that Anmol Bishnoi's name has surfaced in three major crimes within the country: the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, the Baba Siddiqui murder case, and the shooting incident at actor Salman Khan's home. His involvement in these cases has landed him on the international most wanted list.
Anmol Bishnoi is wanted in the firing case at Salman Khan's house
. Anmol Bishnoi is the main accused in the firing case at Salman Khan's Bandra house in April 2024. The Mumbai Police has also sent two extradition proposals to the US in connection with this case. Officials stated that Anmol's arrest was part of a multi-agency operation. The Mumbai Police will now seek his custody for his statement and further investigation.
The NIA had already announced a reward of
₹10 lakh for Anmol Bishnoi. His name first surfaced prominently during the 2022 murder case of Sidhu Moosewala. Furthermore, Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, received an email stating that Anmol Bishnoi had been "deported" from the US. On the night of October 12, 2024, former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in front of his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra.
The investigation into the murder led to the arrest of several members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and these arrests revealed evidence of Anmol's involvement. It is believed that Anmol, while abroad, instructed gang members to carry out the crime.
